Blaming others exposes your distrust towards God

Do you want to take control of your fate and destiny? There is a way for you to stop the never-ending lost relationships, misfortunes and mishaps in your life. Consequences or rewards in all areas of life depend solely upon whether you put your trust in God or others.

The reason that you find yourself emotionally crippled at times is because you subject yourself to someone else's (perceived or real) adverse actions? By doing so, you put your trust and confidence in people. You may not even be aware that you are trying to control your outcome in your own strength by rewarding those that do what pleases you and punishing those that displease you.
Jeremiah 17:5-10
(5) ... Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD. (6) For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited.

(7) Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. (8) For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

(9) The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? (1)0 I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.
Punishment (Not the same as discipline) is motivated out of revenge. It not only comes in the form violence but also emotional punishment such as verbal abuse, slander, uncontrolled anger, passive-aggression or the deadliest weapon of all emotional abuses; the silent treatment.

You see if you'd really put your trust in God, then you would realize that God is the one that controls everything good or bad that happens to you. He may allow what you feel is an adverse situation for three reasons:
  1. to show Satan, as he did in Job's case, that you will still trust Him even when bad things happen and people hurt you.
  2. to discipline you with adversity in order to get your heart and actions back on track because he loves you.
  3. to test you and see which motives and thoughts are pure and which ones need to be burned away.
Zec 13:6-9 (6) Then if someone asks him, 'What are those wounds on your chest?' he will answer, 'I got them at a friend's house.' " (7) The LORD Almighty says, "Wake up, sword, and attack the shepherd who works for me! Kill him, and the sheep will be scattered. I will attack my people (8) and throughout the land two-thirds of the people will die. (9) And I will test the third that survives and will purify them as silver is purified by fire. I will test them as gold is tested. Then they will pray to me, and I will answer them. I will tell them that they are my people, and they will confess that I am their God."
Some people are subconsciously aware that God is really behind it all but they go into denial and find someone else to blame since they don't want to admit to themselves that they are really mad at God. It's no wonder that God gives special insight into the deceptive thoughts of the heart.

Jer 17:9 (9) The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? (10) I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.
Not all thoughts that proceed from your heart are good ones. That is why you must renew your mind daily in God's Word. Prayer alone cannot take these thoughts captive. The Word of God is the only weapon that can accomplish this. Some of these thoughts that come from within the heart will fool you into thinking that you are really expressing love when in fact your actions say otherwise. Jeremiah calls it, "the fruit of your doings." Just ask the victims of your occasional explosions and ask them truthfully if you have wounded their spirit. A wounded spirit is not something easy to fix.
Pro 18:19 A brother offended is harder to be won than a strong city: and their contentions are like the bars of a castle.
The Good News Bible translates, "the bars of a castle" to "they will close their doors to you." Those you are closest to you will close their hearts and put on a facade. They will tolerate you while walking on egg shells, telling you whatever you want to hear and show whatever outward actions are necessary to hopefully prevent another one of your episodes.

Instead of trying so hard to prove that you are right do what David did. He went to God for open heart surgery. He accepted tribulation and testing as God's way of drawing him closer.
Psalms 139:23-24 (23) Examine me, O God, and know my mind (heart); test me, and discover my thoughts. (24) Find out if there is any evil in me and guide me in the everlasting way.
So you see, the secret to freedom is to first realize that your anger is rooted in your trust and expectations in people instead of God. Every time you get angry at someone for an unfavorable outcome, you are saying that you cannot trust God and that he is not the one that has your best interest at heart otherwise this "situation" would have never turned out the way that it did.
God will never turn away anyone who admits that he is a wrong. God lifts up the humble and the honest. He is a help to the contrite and the broken. Don't allow fear and worry to stop you from exposing the wickedness of your heart as is the case with all of us.
